The PDF/LPDF confirmed that a battle happened between the People’s Revolutionary Forces and the SAC troops in Sagaing Region, Kanbalu Township yesterday, April 5th, about 20 SAC troops were killed and their weapons were seized.
During the battle, about 20 troops of Pyu Saw Htee (militias of the SAC) under the SAC troops were killed, and the People’s Defense Forces were able to seize four A-1 guns, two A-3, two grenades, and more than six hundred bullets.
“Yesterday, they (SAC troops and Pyu Saw Htee) marched to attack, so we re-shoot them. Because we shot against them, the fighting engaged. We were able to capture their camp. Because we were able to seize the camp, we seized six of their guns, two grenades, and over six hundred bullets,” a comrade of the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) told MPA.
It is said that during that battle, the SAC troops and their subordinates, Pyu Saw Htee, and among the People’s Revolutionary Forces, PDF and LPDF also were participated.
Because of the fighting, the local people are fleeing the war, and the people who fled the war say that they need help.
During those battles, the People’s Revolutionary Forces did not have enough weapons and ammunition, but they said that they had to fight only with the mindset that they would fight back against violence.
“There are no real guns in our group. Our hand-made guns such as single-shot guns and nine-shot guns, we fight with those and we would work on it. We have only one single conviction. No matter what happens, no matter what position we are in, we will revolutionize the terrorist SAC. There is only one conviction that we do not accept them.”, a military in charge of Kanbalu Township People’s Defense Force told MPA.
Therefore, in order to root out the evil military dictatorship, the PDF and LPDF request the People to support the People’s Defense Armed Forces in Kantablu District with weapons, ammunition, and food.
The SAC troops made the local people human shields in Kanbalu Township and burned down more than two thousand houses within two months, the locals said.
There are nearly 5,000 local people who have fled the war in Kanbalu District, Sagaing Region, and they are in need of food, drinking water, clothing, and medical assistance, people displaced by war said.
