Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA) announced on February 14 that the junta’s plane bombarded Pansar Kalo village in Hsi Hseng Township, Pa-O Region, Southern Shan State, killing two and injuring eight civilians.
The junta’s plane reportedly dropped bombs on Pansar Kalo village five times at 10:30 a.m. on February 14.
“The bombs hit houses and residents. I heard two residents hit to death. It seems the situation will be worse. I still asked how many houses were destroyed. The phone line was cut off, so it is not convenient,” a male resident told MPA.
Pansar Kalo village is a village located more than 40 miles away from Hsi Hseng town, between Hsi Hseng Township and Hopong Township.
“I heard it was bombed, but I don’t know the details. We can’t contact because the phone line was cut off,” an IDP woman said.
The Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA) has controlled the entire town of Hsi Hseng, but clashes are fierce in villages near the town and some residents are reportedly trapped in the town.
MPA contacted PNLA spokesperson Khun Rain Ran regarding the current fighting situation in Hsi Hseng town, but it has not been contacted yet.
The fighting has taken place fiercely in Hsi Hseng town since last January 23, and there are more than 100,000 people who have fled from their homes, including the internally displaced people from Hsi Hseng town and Karenni (Kayah) State.
Similarly, the military jet fighter bombed Hokhoe village in Naung Cho Township in Northern Shan State on February 14, damaging five residential houses.
