It is reported that the People’s Defense Force (Tamu), Battalion-4, raided and arrested a house selling drugs in Tamu, Sagaing Region on May 26 at 1:00 pm.
People’s Defense Force (Tamu), Battalion – 4, official Ko Khant Lin told MPA that the raid was made based on a report by the People that a house in Nan Kalar Saw Bwar Ward – 4, Tamu Town was sellingdrugs.
“It’s the people around that house. A person in the neighborhood gave us a report. Thieves are getting a lot in town. His motorcycle was also lost. It’s lost under his nose. Among the ones we caught was a fake gun. They were threatening people with that fake one. They thought it was real. It was the people in the neighborhood. We went to arrest them with that complaint,” said Ko Khant Lin, the person in charge.
When the PDFs went and raided that house, five phones, one fake gun, some money, drugs, and related items were seized.
“When we raided their house, there were four people in the house. They were using drugs. One of them was with a needle. We raided their house. The owner threw the money out of the house. We saw that first. Then we found boxes with drugs in the rice bags. We seized them,” he continued.
It was investigated that the people selling the drugs were not arrested and prosecuted for the first chance, but they warned that the drug users and the house owner will be flogged in the future if they did it again.
