It is said that the SAC military is using Kantblu Pyusawhti (militiamen) as commando soldiers.
“The SAC Military in Kantbalu Township, Sagaing Region, ordered Pyusawhti at the front of the column in the battle and forced them to die,” said an official of the Infinity Group which reports local revolution news.
On October 9, more than 50 soldiers of the SAC military were killed in the battle that took place near the new village of Nget Phai Tain, Kantbalu Township, according to the Infinity Group.
“We have received some information about who is from which village, is killed in the battle and who was injured, but when we investigated it, we found out that many of those who dead were forced unconsciously to join Pyusawhti,” said an Infinity Group official.
In Kantbalu Township, there are Pyusawhti who are supporting and helping the SAC Military, and there are people who are doing as Pyusawhti mindlessly due to the difficulty of their family’s livelihood and being threatened.
A Kantablu PDF comrade said that the SAC and Pyusawhti leaders asked some villages in Kantbalu Township to list 15 people per village to join Pyusawhti, and the next time they paid money if they did not want to join Pyusawhti.
“As a percentage, 50 percent of those who do it with their mind and those who do it without their mind. I think it’s fifty percent to both sides. If they can’t do, they just flee to PDFs. If caught, they will be killed,” he said.
More than 10,000 residents from more than 10 villages are fleeing the war due to the SAC military currently is patrolling in Kantbalu Township,” he added.
In Kantbalu Township, there are more than 5,000 permanent IDPs who have not yet returned to their homes and villages.
