It is reported that one soldier was killed when PDF forces opened fire at the Mandalay Checkpoint at the entrance to Myaing Town, Magway Region.
Today (September 4th) at 8:45 a.m., the Mandalay Checkpoint at the entrance of Myaing Town was attacked with small arms and exchanged fire, and one of the two soldiers who were in front of the bunker was killed, Myaing People’s Defence Force ( Myaing – Pa-Ka-Hpa) reported.
“It was only 400 feet away from the gate. We made a cover with a car and shot it in. It didn’t take long. It only took three minutes. There were about eight people there. We found out that they were from the 101st Battalion,” Bo Cross, who is in charge of the North Zone of Myaing Pa-Ka-Hpa, told MPA.
The PDF troops came near the checkpoint in a car, got out of the car, and opened fire.
He said that the soldiers who were killed or injured due to this attack were brought from the Myaing Town Police Station by car.
The attack was carried out jointly by Myaing Pa-Ka-Hpa Battalion-2, Company 3 and 4, and Earthquake People’s Defense force, and the PDF soldiers were able to retreat without any harm.
