Thayarwaddy District Battalion-3801 has reported that the displaced people from 7 villages in Nattalin Township, Bago Region have been donated sacks of rice.
Thayarwaddy District Battalion-3501 and Nattalin Township (Pakafa) had donated 25 sacks of rice to 891 displaced people from Boegyi camp, Thaphanchaung, Kawegyi, Nyaunglaypin, Kyaukpyoke, Kyinmanin and Kayin Sinswe village in the upper of Taungnyo dam in Nattalin Township in the morning of July 19.
“They have been fleeing from war for more than 1 year. There is no work, and they are struggling to eat. On July 5, the Myayar Kyaw group donated 25 lakhs kyats. At this time, our battalion shared and distributed it out of our food. We were a little food. However, because of the difficulty of displaced people, we had to make for it,” said Comrade Rebel in charge of Thayarwaddy District Battalion-3801.
Since February, 2022, the SAC military had patrolled the villages in Nattalin Township, so the local people of 7 villages have been unable to return to their villages and are still fleeing from war.
“The transportation routes to the villages above the Taungnyo Dam have been closed for a long time. Specifically, the roads have been closed since the battle of Nyaung Laepin village on May 13, 2022. The boat gates are also closed. If the roads to the villages in upper areas of the dam continue to be blocked, the situation of those fleeing the war may worsen due to procurement difficulties of transportation,” he said.
On July 5, the “Myayar Kyaw Support Group” provided 2500,000 kyats to the displaced people who are struggling for living in Nattalin Township.
