Magway District Battalion No. (2) announced that there were casualties when the PDF joint forces fired with shock missiles on the Magway Air Force Base.
Today (July 17th), at around 1:00 a.m., five shock missiles 170 (mama) fired on the Magway Air Force in Magway Township, causing a fuel storage facility hit and some soldiers killed.
“A fuel tank exploded. A warehouse was hit. We are still investigating which warehouse exploded. Another explosion hit some guardhouses. In the hitting at the guardhouse, some soldiers were killed. Five missiles were fired. Only 4 exploded inside the military camp, and 1 was an error. There was no shooting back inside the camp,” said Comrade San Shar from Magway District Battalion (No.2).
“Due to the attack, the damage to the building and the death of the soldiers are still under detailed investigation,” he said.
It is reported that the SAC Military troops have restricted the security at the entrances and exits of Magway town in this morning.
This attack was led by MKCDF (Mountain Knights Civilians Defense Force) and carried out jointly by the Magway District Battalion (No.2), the Ngapyayma Guerrilla Force, and Taungdwingyi (Pakafa).
MPA could not specifically confirm the damage to the Air Force Base and the casualties of soldiers yet.
