It is reported that Taung Mhar village of Ayadaw township, Sagaing Region, was set fire by the SAC military, and a grandmother and a man who were left behind because they could not run away, were killed.
Ayadaw Post that report the local revolutionary news announced that at around 8:00 a.m. of May 23, the SAC military fired guns and entered in Taung Mhar village of Ayadaw township, and set village on fire at about 5:30 a.m. on May 24.
“One of the men left in the village died when they shot him. An old grandmother was killed in fire at 6 o’clock this morning, when they started to set fire village at 5:30 a.m. this morning. The house was set on fire,” said an official of Ayadaw Post.
Local villagers have been fleeing since the morning of May 23 when the Military troops of the SAC had patrolled and entered.
“How many houses were burned is unknown until this evening. We don’t know yet because people are all in disarray,” said a resident of Ayadaw town.
Ayadaw Post reported that the cost of the damage of properties and the number of houses burned by the fire are still being collected the list.
