It is known that local people from the villages in the western part of Khin U Township, Sagaing Region have been found to be fleeing the fighting in the rain and wind today.
In Khin U Township’s western side, around 3,000 locals from villages of Inpat, Chan Thar Gone, and Kone Thar are fleeing the fighting amid the heavy rains caused by the storm, Khin U Township Local Right News reported.
It is reported that the SAC troops and the Pyu Saw Htee groups who stationed in Inpat Village entered the Chan Thar Gone village at around 6:00 a.m. today and opened fire with heavy and small arms.
“They shot with weapons and entered the village from 6 o’clock in the morning. They also took the food from the houses in the village. They also fired large weapons at Inpat village and hit a 4-year-old child. Now he is receiving medical treatment while avoiding the fighting,” said an official from Khin U Township Local Right News.
The Department of Meteorology and Hydrology has informed people that the very powerful Cyclone Mocha has already entered Myanmar through Sittwe and may continue to move as a strong inland storm to Chin State, Magway, Sagaing Region, and Kachin State.
In Chin State, Magway Region, Sagaing Region, and Kachin State, which could be affected by the powerful inland storm of Cyclone Mocha, there are many people who are fleeing the fighting due to attacks by the SAC troops.
