It was investigated that 2 jet fighters dropped a series of bombs on the villages in the west of Mobye of Pekon Township in the border of Kayah State, in the early morning of today, May 5th.
It is investigated that the Military Council’s scouting drones have been scouting around the villages since the end of April. At around 4:00 a.m. this morning, two jet fighters dropped bombs 3 times on Rinut village in the west side of Pekon. In addition, from 5:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., two jet fighters dropped at least 500 bombs and 16 missiles on Taung Salone village, and fired 4 times with machine guns.
“There are also some displaced people in the area where the bombs were dropped. Because of those sounds, 2 people suffered injuries with bleeding from their eyes and ears. In addition, more than 31 public houses were destroyed,” an official from the KNDF- Karenni Nationalities Defense Force confirmed.
It is investigated that at around 3:30 p.m., 2 jet fighters bombarded the area again, as well as they fired by heavy weapons in the area of Pekon.
