Junta troops raided a PDF outpost near Sagar Pin Village, Matara Township, Mandalay Region and killed three PDF soldiers and five civilians.
The junta soldiers raided the outpost near Sagar PinVillage, Matara Township at around 6:30 in the morning on February 19th, and after killing three PDF soldiers at the outpost, they also arrested and killed five villagers, including three teenagers, near the outpost.
“They (junta soldiers) raided the Sagar Pin outpost at around 6:00 p.m. after being reported by Dalan (an informer of junta troops). They had around 50 forces. They killed our three comrades near the outpost. They killed civilians near the outpost. Two 14-year-olds, one 15-year-old, and two civilians were arrested and killed. They didn’t set fire to the village,” said the information officer of Matara Township Pa-Ka-Hpa (People’s Defense Force).
All those killed were men, and when the column entered the village, the villagers ran away.
After killing the PDF soldiers and the people, the column returned to In Gyin Myaing Village, where they were stationed.
“The column showed heading towards Nga Lone Pyon village, but actually entered Sagar Pin Village. They raided the outpost outside the village and killed three comrades there. Then they entered the village and killed five more people,” said a local.
Junta troops stationed in Pin Yin Village, Matara Township looted public property from Tone Gone Village and Thit Pote Kan Village and brought them to Pin Yin Village in cars on February 21st.
