The villagers confirmed that on 6th May, a villager was killed because the military council brigade fired heavy weapons in Akyi Ban village, Tilin township of Magway Region, and another one was shot to death by the SAC military troops.
“The soldiers entered into the village by shooting with heavy weapons, the villagers were fleeing and they shot a villager in the field west of the village,” a villager told MPA.
It is said that a 49-year-old villager was hit by a bullet of heavy weapon and killed, due to the military council troops fired heavy weapon before they entered the village.
“In addition, a 51-year-old villager who was fleeing from the war was met by the military council troops, and he was shot to dead by the military troops,” he said.
In addition, the villagers said that some of the villagers of Akyi Ban village were arrested and taken away as guides by the military council troops.
It is said that the people of Akyi Ban village had to flee to nearby villages and forests, so they have needed for assistances.
