After the SAC troops left, 8 dead people and burnt bodies were found in Khin U Township, Alelsho Village.
The Khin U Township Right News Information reported that the SAC troops left the Alelsho village on the evening of January 2nd, and the dead were Alelsho villagers who were violently killed by the SAC troops.
“I have heard that the people trapped in the village have been killed since the 1st day. It is still unconfirmed. Now it can be confirmed. They entered the village without reason. They broke into houses in the village. They stole things. They cooked and ate food from the houses. They burned the village. They killed the villagers. It is not yet known how many people were burned to death and why they were burned to dealth,” said a resident who lived in Mya Kanthar Ward, Khin U Town.
The SAC troops and more than 100 Pyu Saw Htee troops returned to Shwebo training – (8) along the Shwebo-Myitkyina Strategic Camp No. (2) Road yesterday evening, and more than 200 handphones were looted from people found along the road, and many people were arrested as human shields from cars parked on the Shwebo-Myitkyina road due to military conditions, according to the Khin U Township Right News Information.
The SAC troops retreated after firmly constructing bunkers inside the school of Alelsho Village.
In the early morning of December 28th, the SAC troops violently entered the Alelsho village, causing more than 400 villagers to flee and some were arrested.
On the evening and night of January 1st and the morning of January 2nd, the military set fire to the Alelsho village, and it is not yet known how many houses were burned, according to Khin U Township Right News Information.
“Until this morning, we still can’t say who the people were who were burned,” said a local in Khin U.
Alelsho village has around 1,000 houses and is located next to Shwebo-Myitkyina Strategic Camp No. 2 Road.
