A temporary ceasefire between the SAC and Arakan Army (AA) was reached last 26 November due to the intervention of Mr. Sasakawa, the chairman of the Nippon foundation from Japan and the special representative of the Japanese Government for Myanmar national reconciliation.
The Arakan Army (AA) has officially announced the ceasefire as a Humanitarian Pause and has released video files showing that it is helping local Rakhine farmers to harvest rainfed crops.
Since the last 27 November, the SAC are supplying soldiers, weapons and supplies by the landing crafts, Navies and the Military helicopters as well as building new Military bases,” Rakhine residents and Rakhine Military observers said.
“The SAC does not comply with the bilateral agreements and Military discipline and such activities are the behavior of the Military monsters and are leading for battle,” the Arakan Military observers said.
Such supplying, building the new Military bases and heavy weapon camps and the Military training of the SAC are the behavior of the Military giants.
The SAC does not follow the bilateral agreement and the Military rules and ethics. It means that AA is being called to fight,” a Rakhine-based Military observer told MPA.
