It is said that the military activities of the PDF forces under the command of the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government are still guerilla warfare in the Bago-Roma forest.
PDF battalions are formed under the command of the NUG’s Ministry of Defense in Bago-Roma forest and are under the command of the Southern Military Region, No. 2.
“There is only guerilla warfare based on the Roma forest. If the situation of the controlled area and military operation is appropriate, we will announce it,” said Comrade Tin Oo, a deputy commander of No. 2 Deputy Military Region of the Southern Regional Military Region.
Comrade Kyaw Gyi, who is in charge of news and information from the Tharrawati District Battalion PDF 3802, said that the PDF forces in the west of Bago Yoma Forest, are still fighting as a guerrilla force because they still have a need for weapons and ammunition, but the SAC military could not patrol without the help of heavy weapons.
In addition, it is also reported that the PDFs can control Bago Roma forest, which belongs to Min Hla Township.
The Tharayawati District Battalion 3802 reported that after the PDF forces had seized and burned the Khachin Mountain camp in Min Hla Township on September 9, the SAC military tried to recapture the camp for the third time on September 16, but 8 soldiers were killed and they retreated.
“Currently, we are fighting with guerrilla warfare according to the need for weapons and ammunition. Face-to-face battles are occasionally attacked. If it is territorial domination, the SAC military does not dare to enter and patrol without the help of heavy weapons. In the current situation, we are fighting in the Roma forest to minimize the harm to the public. We have controlled Roma area in Minhla area, including Khachin mountain, which generates income for the SAC military,” said Comrade Kyaw Gyi.
On September 16, the Thayarwati District Battalion 3802- Division (4)-Underground Guerrilla Force (Oakphoe) has published that two soldiers were killed when the PDF attacked between Kanni Village and Tower Tai Village when the SAC troops were patrolling to occupy Tower Tai Camp in Tower Tai Village of Oakphoe Township.
