According to the KLG-PDF (Kyauk Lone Gyi – PDF), at least 10 soldiers were killed and 120 mines and bombs were seized when the local defense forces raided the SAC’s temporary camp on the border of Sagaing, Yinmarbin, and Salingyi.
The KLG-PDF said that they raided the SAC camp on Mount Kyauk Myat and captured it after an exchange of fire for about 1 and a half hours. 40 M-14 landmines (Anti-personnel mines), 30 MG-1 plastic grenades, 50 MM-5 claymore mines (landmines), and an Anti-Drone Gun were seized by the KLG-PDF.
“A 20-troop temporary camp was attacked. At least 10 were killed. The rest of the soldiers fled down the Kyauk Myat mountain and ran to Salingyi township. We were able to control the camp for a while. We didn’t set fire it. At 7:00 a.m., two military vehicles came in a column and we retreated. We were able to seize mines and a drone gun. One of our comrades was killed. It is not yet known which unit was the comrade,” said an official from the Kyauk Lone Gyi KLG brigade (KLG-PDF).
