It is reported that a young man had to have his leg and hand amputated after being hit by a bullet of heavy weapon fired by the Military in Pulaw Township, Tanintharyi Region.
An information officer of Puriyakha Nyinnaung column said that on 9th February, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, Puriyakha Nyinnaung column led by KNDO and the SAC Military troops had cornered the battle near Pulaw Kone village in Pulaw Township, and a 15-year-old boy was hit by a bullet of heavy weapon fired by the Military”.
“We started the battle at 8:00 a.m. At that time, the war dogs (soldiers of the SAC) attacked the local residents by heavy weapons. At that time, a 15-year-old boy was running from the rubber scraper when he heard the sound of gunshots and was hit by the heavy weapon. His life is not in danger, but his arms and legs will be amputated,” he said.
A KPDF comrade said that while the Pulaw Kone battle was going on yesterday, Pulaw-based KPDF troops attacked the Military troops in Pawyutkone village, and some of the Military soldiers were injured.
“Yesterday, when there was a fight in Pulaw Kone, we attacked Pawyutkone from 8 to 9 o’clock. Some of the SAC soldiers were injured. I don’t know for sure if they died or not,” he said.
During the above fighting, there were no injuries to Pulaw-based Puriyakha Kyinnaung column and KPDF troops, but at least 5 soldiers of the SAC Military were injured by bullets.
MPA has investigated that currently, the 285- Battalion based in Pulaw Township has not entered and columned to the liberated area where the revolutionary forces are located, and they are in a monitoring position on both sides.
