It is reported that the Township General Administration Office which is collecting the voter list for the SAC election in Gyobingauk Township in Bago Region, were attacked by a large remote – controlled mine yesterday night.
On 20 January, at around 10:00 p.m., the Township General Administration Office on Min Ye Kyaw Swar road at the West- South Ward of Gyobingauk town, which was taking security by the SAC soldiers, was attacked by a large remote – controlled mine.
“It is right that there was a landmine attack on Gyobingauk General Administration Office. They are preparing the voter lists. It is a first-level warning. There are also soldiers in that office. There may be around 20 employees and soldiers in total. According to reports on the ground, 3 soldiers have been injured,” an official of information and communication of Bago Region PDF.
The attack was carried out by troops of the Squadron (5) of Battalion (3801) of the Public Defense Force of Thayarwati District as the Nang Htike Aung operation.
After such an explosion, the SAC soldiers fired in pursuit, but the revolutionary comrades were able to retreat safely.
On the night of January 14, Ward Administration Office of Ywa Ma Taung and Veteran Affairs Office in Gyobingauk were also attacked by Tharawati District PDF.
