Nay Toe, the Pyu Saw Htee leader of Kaukkwayt (Pyu Saw Htee) village, arrested and killed a villager from Yaephyukan village, Nyaung Lay Pin Township, Bago Region, locals said.
On April 9th, 33-year-old Zaw Win Myint from Yaephyukan village was arrested and killed by the leader of Pyu Saw Htee on the way to a funeral occasion in Tawwi village, according to an eyewitness.
“Nay Toe, the leader of Pyu Saw Htee, does not like Yaephyukan village very much. Now, they arrested and killed Zaw Win Myint – accusing him of being in contact with the PDFs,” he said.
In the propaganda Telegram channels of the Military Junta, it said that when Zaw Win Myint was arrested, some weapons and ammunition were seized in addition to relation with PDFs, but residents said that Zaw Win Myint was not related to the revolution but a calm and normal civilian.
“(Ko) Zaw Win Myint has a child. He is calm and doesn’t do anything about the revolution. Now his family doesn’t even dare to take his body. On April 10, military propaganda channels posted photos of Zaw Win Myint’s body and him with weapons,” said a person close to the family.
Currently, the body of the deceased, who was killed by the Pyu Saw Htee militia, is said to be kept at Nyaung LayPin Hospital.
On January 11, four people were killed and 14 were injured when junta troops fired heavy weapons into Yae Phyu Kan village, Nyaung Lay Pin Township.
