A person who attended the assembly told MPA that the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) did not attend the last day of the assembly today (April 9) because the People Assembly, which started on April 4th, discussed issues related to the PDF (People’s Defense Force aka Pa-Ka-Hpa) and the PAT (People’s Administrative Team aka Pa-Ah-Hpa).
He went on to explain that CRPH did not attend the last day because the assembly included some agenda items that were not included in the original agenda.
“What I encountered at the assembly was that the issues of Pa-Ka-Hpa, Pa-Ah-Hpa and the Full Consensus that were not included in the agenda. CRPH did not accept that as an issue that was not on the agenda of the assembly. Those were the two points that caused CRPH to leave. There were no other significant things with the rest,” he said.
In addition, it is learned that the delegates discussed preparing the issue of full consensus, which can only be decided upon with the agreement of all the participants, and correcting the crimes and human rights violations by some of the Pa-Ka-Hpa, Pa-Ah-Hpa, and Pa-La-Hpa (People’s Security Force) in Sagaing and Magwe Regions, which were not included in the original agenda of the conference.
“In essence, it needs to be a meaningful revolution. The point is pretending to be together and to be united. They are not united for real, but in fact, it doesn’t make any sense. We have to watch how the people will continue to carry a better approach. Similarly, we must wait and see who will appear among the leaders of the revolution who will take the people’s loyalty,” said a political analyst.
CRPH sent a notice to the People Assembly regarding the reason for not continuing to attend the People Assembly, and in the letter, it was stated that there were activities to discuss and approve beyond the provisions of Part (2) of the Federal Democratic Charter and that there were activities to discuss and approve beyond the previously distributed plans.
In addition, CRPH said: the content decided to be recorded by the chairman in one agenda of the assembly revised and approved in the next agenda; the additional proposals that were not included in the original agenda need to be thoroughly discussed within the relevant groups and need to be discussed in a more comprehensive way with stakeholders: some delegates failed to respect the rules and regulations established by the conference.
MPA contacted an official from CRPH regarding CRPH not attending the last day of the People Assembly, but he only replied that he did not want to respond.
The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) announced on April 3 that the six-day People Assembly will be attended by forces fighting during the Spring Revolution, elected representatives, political party representatives, representatives of ethnic armed resistance forces, representatives of interim state federal unit councils, and special invitees.
Even though the NUCC has issued such a release, there are even revolutionary organizations that are not aware of the People Assembly, which is currently holding.
