It is usual and habitual that the military junta cannot be able to stop the speed of the war arrow coming into Kachin State, and it is not shameless and inferior in status for the military junta.
On March 7, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and their alliances launched an offensive on the military junta with speed in Kachin State at 5 a.m., as a new page of the war. The Kachin Independence Army (KIA), the People’s Defense Force (PDF) under the National Unity Government (NUG), and the Arakan Army (AA) are fighting together against the junta, and they launched an offensive against the military camps near Laiza and inside the townships of Waingmaw, Dawphoneyan and Bhamo, and junta’s air force base at Myitkyina town at the same time.
On the first day of the offensive, 3 large camps and 10 small camps of the military junta were attacked and captured by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and their allies. It means that the arrow of offensive fighting came to run directly and speedily into the chest of the junta, resulting in free fresh blood. According to reports, the KIA was able to capture 16 military camps in Kachin State during the 3-day offensive.
Later 24 hours after the start of an offensive attack, the military junta, as usual, started to raise the ‘White Flag’ in unison. The junta’s battalion raising the ‘White Flag’ was the Infantry Battalion- 142 based in Dawphoneyan town and it is a strategic military camp located on the Myitkyina-Bhamo Road, and it is the largest military camp near Laiza.
Like pouring hot iron liquid into Min Aung Hlaing’s ears, not only the soldiers but also their family members raised the ‘white flag’. The Generals in the bullet-proof glass room in Nay Pyi Taw who order to fight back and forth are only willing to sacrifice the lives of the grass-root soldiers for their power. The grassroots soldiers raised the ‘white flag’ for their lives since the beginning of the 1027 Operation, as the junta generals demanded their grassroots soldiers to die to fight without protection and evacuation.
Along with the start of the offensive in Northern Kachin State, the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and PDF joint forces in southern Karen State called the battle, and it is understood to be not a coincidence, but a pre-planned arrangement.
On March 7, they started to attack the three battalions guarding the Thin Gan Nyi Naung strategic hill in Myawaddy township, Karen State. The Light Infantry Battalion- 355 was captured on March 8, and Thin Gan Nyi Naung Police Station was captured on the morning of March 9. Thin Gan Nyi Naung is about 10 miles from Myawaddy town and is located on the Asia Highway, the Thai-Myanmar border road.
It is still too early to predict how long the KIA, and KNLA and its allies’ offensive will continue and how many cities they will be able to capture, but the offensive speed is certainly stronger than before. Therefore, Min Aung Hlaing will have to play the chest drum if the war speed of both Kachin and Karen can catch up with the speed of the 1027 Operation in Northern Shan State.
When the war sped up in Kachin and Karen, the Arakan Army was approaching the capital Sittwe after capturing 7 towns in Rakhine State. What the junta military, which is losing their controlled areas in the Rakhine war front can do, is to force the Muslim youths in the Muslim refugee camp near Kyaukphyu town to join the emergency military training and force them to die.
At this time, if the call for battle is restarted in the Northern Shan State, which has taken a ceasefire due to Chinese pressure, it will not be long to meet with resistance forces coming down from Northern Shan and Kachin at Mandalay.
However, the intensification of the war in Kachin and Karen is throwing a big wave of the war to the losing military junta one after another. That’s why, it puts the generals in Nay Pyi Taw on alert to prepare to pack their baggage to flee to Russia.
