It is reported that a plane of the military junta was shot down and crashed in Hpruso Township, Kayah (Karenni) State.
An unidentified plane of the junta crashed at around 4:40 p.m. on November 11, and the two pilots of the plane parachuted somewhere in Hpruso Township and escaped, a reliable source said.
“That’s true. One M2 Browning gun from the KA and the one from the KNDF shot it jointly. They (the pilots) jumped out with ejection seats and had an oxygen mask, so it was something like one of the SU 30, Yak130, and MIG-29 types. It was definitely a jet plane,” he said.
The Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) and the Karenni Army (KA) shot down an unidentified plane passing near Yado Village, Thandaunggyi Township, on the Karen-Shan-Karenni border with anti-aircraft weapons (an M2 Browning Machine Gun) at around 4:00 p.m. on 11 and crashed, according to a KNDF military source.
“Operation 11.11 has launched today. The M2 Browning was used only in this operation, blatantly. We are still searching for where the plane went down. If it falls on the Yado side, there are the military junta’s checkpoints,” he said.
There were reports that Kayah (Karenni) State had received anti-aircraft M2 Browning guns on June 7 of this year, and they are just being utilized today (11 Nov), said an official of the KNDF.
The junta’s Air Force community has admitted – the crush of a plane that was passing near Yado village was true, and the junta had propagandized within the army that the plane malfunctioned and crashed during flight training, a military source said.
