According to a source of MPA, yesterday night, the SAC’s Nay Pyi Taw Air Force bombed the KNLA Battalion – 201 area of the Karen
National Liberation Army (KNLA), Mawkhee Village Tract, Khalel Law Kye (aka)
Panwe Phoe Kalo village, in Kawkareik Township, Karen State.
On May 23, 2023, at about 11:30 p.m., a jet fighter used two 500-pound bombs to attack. It was reported that a church in Panwe Phoe Kalo Village was hit by a bomb and damaged beyond repair, and some houses were also
damaged.
“The people were not harmed. Some people’s houses were destroyed and graves in the cemetery were damaged. The people have been avoiding it for a long time,” said an anonymous source.
It has also been known that there have been clashes between the SAC troops and the revolutionary forces in the vicinity of the KNLA
Battalion – 201 area, Panwe Phoe Kalo village, Mawkhee Village Tract.
“Before 11:30 p.m., I heard the sound of SAC Air Force fighter jets flying, and I had to run down to the bomb shelter. I heard it
really close, and then the sound of an explosion came out. In the morning, I
found out where they were come from, and that the jet had bombarded the church
in Panwe Phoe Kalo,” said a PDF comrade.
The Coup SAC is intentionally bombing villages where the people live, firing heavy weapons, burning people’s houses, as well as forcibly arresting and torturing innocent people, and committing human rights violations on a daily basis.
