“Two political prisoners were killed in Pathein prison due to beatings and shootings by the SAC Forces, and the death bodies of those have not yet been returned to their families,” is known.
U Tun Kyi, a member of the former political prisoners’ group, said that the two people who were killed were Ko Win Min Htet (b) Ko Mei Gyi and Ko Wai Yan Phyo (b) Ko Yarsu.

He said that even now, there are no less than 70 political prisoners in Pathein Prison, who are being oppressed by the Military, police, Military Security Force (SaYaPha), prison authorities and their henchmen.

The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) announced last night that 8 political prisoners are being treated at the new Pathein Hospital due to the violent crackdown by members of the Military group, and their lives are being faced in a dangerous condition.
