After 2 years of the Military coup seized the power by various means of inhuman torture and killings, the Military coup had to admit that the coup had failed by extending another 6 months of term for the State of emergency.
On January 31, 2023, a meeting of the National Defense and Security Council under the control of Min Aung Hlaing, power giant, was convened. At that meeting, Min Aung Hlaing read out the current situation by a dry tone of sound and he was forced to admit that he still only controls about half of the 330 Townships in Myanmar.
Min Aung Hlaing’s admission also includes that there are only 198 townships that can be fully controlled, 67 townships that must be effectively implemented in terms of security, and 65 townships that must be taken seriously in terms of security. If Min Aung Hlaing’s confession is to be interpreted clearly, the townships that must be effectively implemented in terms of security are those that cannot be completely controlled by the SAC Military. The townships that must be taken seriously in terms of security means those townships that can only be partially controlled by the SAC Military.
On 1st February 2023, the day after Min Aung Hlaing made such a statement, the people of more than 150 towns and cities had staged a silent strike and had warned the SAC Military to be aware of it by keeping quiet and peaceful the streets of those cities. The people’s warning is that there are more than 150 cities that cannot be controlled by the SAC Military.
The dates of the two-year anniversary of the failed coup was the days that was passed the ways of the mundane world in the stormy sea, contrast to going to the beach and relaxing at beach. According to the records of the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP), 2,940 civilians were killed by the SAC Military in the two-year anniversary of the failed coup of the Military. 17,572 people were imprisoned and 143 people were sentenced to death imprisonment. Among those sentenced to death imprisonment., 4 political activists, including Ko Jimmy, the 88th generation student leader, were secretly killed in Insein prison.
According to the records of Data for Myanmar, the SAC Military had started burning 3 public houses in May 2021, and on January 31, 2023, 55,484 public houses were burnt to ashes. Until now, they are burning of the villages after patrolling around the villages and looting villagers’ properties like eating and sleeping on leather. It is still burning every day in Sagaing Region and Magway Region, so the number of burnt ashes is likely to continue to every day.
Since February 1, 2021, when the failed coup began, the people have been faced with the situation of not being able to withdraw their money deposited in the bank, unemployment, and the devaluation of the kyat and inflation of money.
According to the World Economic Survey published in October,2022, Myanmar’s per capita production capacity has reached the lowest level among Southeast Asian countries at $1,170, and the country’s economy will continue to descend into hell in the future.
In 1962, Ne Win, the first dictator, had seized the State’s power by relying on weapons, and the coup was completed within days. In 1988, the army led by Saw Maung again had seized the State’s power, and after about a month, he was able to reach the throne of power that the people did not give him.
On 1st February 2021, the mindless Min Aung Hlaing had seized the State’s power. Even after 2nd anniversary of the Military coup, he had to declare martial law in another 37 townships. On February 3, 2023, there are up to the total of 44 towns declared martial law, and so Min Aung Hlaing was crazy about it.
However, it is certain that Min Aung Hlaing and his counterparts will continue to go to hell until the end of the earth. So there is no other option and we, the people, have to continue sharp the victory of the spring revolution and send the Military dictators to the gallows. MPA believes that the people have no other choice except for move towards the portal of democracy.
