The Central Command Headquarters (Mandalay Palace) in Mandalay Region sent weapons and military equipment by helicopter to military academies in Pyin Oo Lwin, a military source said.
The Central Command sent weapons and military equipment by helicopter to the Defense Services Technological Academy (DSTA) and Defense Services Academy (DSA) in Pyin Oo Lwin on the morning of October 30th and the evening of October 31st.
“They (Myanmar Military) have sent weapons. I don’t know what kind of weapons they have. They can’t go forward from the ground. They can only afford by air. I hear that they will drop such poison gas with chemical weapons on the front lines. They have been crippled,” an official from the DSTA told MPA.
The weapons and military equipment that were sent to Pyin Oo Lwin from the Central Military Headquarters on November 1st in the morning have been transported to the battlefields in northern Shan State.
“Battalions are forced to stay on stand-by in Pyin Oo Lwin. There is no position to surrender. There is a tendency to fight to the death. But the military resources are too weak,” an officer from a garrison engineering battalion told MPA.
In addition, there was a strict inspection in Pyin Oo Lwin Town as of the morning of November 1 and security had been increased, local residents said.
“Motorcycles are checked in detail. If you wear a mask, you are asked to take it off. I have not heard of civilians being taken as porters,” said a local woman in Pyin Oo Lwin.
Currently, the vicinity of Laiza Town is under air attack after the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) captured an important military base of the SAC Military in Mongmo-Namhai Road, the 4th KIA Brigade Area bordering northern Shan State.
Furthermore, Three Brotherhood Alliance had been conducting offensive attacks in northern Shan State, and more than 100 soldiers had surrendered so far, the three twin alliances announced.
