“Three soldiers were killed when the PDF joint forces intercepted the soldiers who were coming out on motorcycles to guard the gate in the western part of Dipayin, Yinmarpin District, Sagaing Region,” Ko Myo, the information officer of Yinmarpin District Battalion 30 (ADPRA), told MPA.
Today (September 16) at 6 o’clock in the morning, in the western part of Dipaying City, PDFs intercepted and attacked about 10 soldiers who had came by 5 motorcycles to guard the gate at the top of the soccer field in Kyawthet in the western part of Dipayin.
“Three soldiers died on the spot. There may be more casualties. Those guys (soldiers) have been guarding the gate there for a long time,” said Ko Myo.
A counter battle rarely lasts about 15 minutes, and the other soldiers ran away. The PDF joint force was not harmed, and a MA13 and a carbine were seized.
“We chased and fired them. They also ran away. Two guns were seized. There may have been injuries,” he said.
The battle was led by Yinmarpin District Battalion 30 (ADPRA) and was carried out jointly by the PLA and Ye-U PDF (Pakafa).
“I heard gunshots. And in the city, the soldiers are hard at work. I heard that the soldiers from the SAC military are also dead,” said a resident of Dipayin.
ADPRA had announced that 6 soldiers were killed in an attack on the SAC gate outside Dipayin town and 4 guns were seized last July 31.
