On the evening of July 17th, news emerged that 100 political prisoners from Pakokku Prison were accompanied among the more than 100 military vehicles of the Terrorist SAC that left Pakokku along the Pauk road. Regarding this news, it appeared above the online page saying “important news”. There were also many re-sharers.
Therefore, the MPA contacted the local revolutionary forces to confirm the news. “I don’t know whether these prisoners are accompanied or not. I cannot confirm the exact news. They have come down to the areas under our control,” said the acting commander of the Htilin People’s Defense Force, Battalion – 1, Bo La Raung, to the MPA.
On July 16th, the terrorist SAC troops were busy around the city of Htilin, Magway Region. As a peculiarity, the acting battalion commander, Bo La Raung, informed the MPA that about 300 terrorist SAC troops were taking positions in Pakokku – Mindat Road to clear the road.
Acting Battalion Commander, Bo La Raung, is currently far away from the news, so he helped to get in touch with some of his friends to the MPA to get a closer look. After that, the information sources contacted replied that it was true that the matter of more than a hundred military vehicles leaving Pakokku along the Pauk road was correct, but they did not know if there were any political prisoners in them.
Regarding the issue of more than a hundred military vehicles that left Pakokku along the road, “It’s sure. Now, from the side of Pauk, it has started to descend from the side of Htilin – Kyaukhtu at about 8:30 in the morning,” the MPA obtained from the investigation.
The terrorist SAC troops are confused around the Htilin City, and the situation where about 300 terrorist SAC troops are taking positions to clear the road on Pakokku – Mindat Road is also related to another incident.
“In the past, the news broke out that three trucks carrying weapons and ammunition, full of weapons and ammunition, would come to our side from this side of Mandalay to Pakokku. They left Pakokku side and now it is assumed that they will be in the caravan. In addition, the security forces from this Kyaukhtu along the security lane to the Kyaukhtu road, there are about 300 security forces. Security is also tight. All along the route, there are checkpoints and security. These are the special facts. I know that they arrived in Pakokku with three cars full of weapons and ammunition. But the caravan hasn’t come out yet. I have received news that it would be in this caravan.”, the MPA found out.
However, the news that the prisoners are being carried is currently unconfirmed among the local resistance forces.
It is known that, “In the current situation, there is no way that the rest of the revolutionary forces can confirm the news. The news is that there are two types. A news story about the prisoners said that the day the caravan left Pakokku, there were not many prisoners left. But there are two types. The news is that there may be prisoners in the convoy that came to us, and the prisoners may also be transferred to Magway prison. We knew that another thing is that the people in the caravan are going to go up to Mindat – Matupi – Chin Mountain. The supply and transport group will go to Chin Mountain. And there are also family members. They said the women were holding weapons. There are women in the military. It is also possible to change their houses and camp. It is also possible that the whole family will have to move to live in Mindat and Matupi.”
Therefore, the emerging news is only a rumor and it is difficult to confirm. However, according to the patterns used by the Terrorist SAC troops, they can spread propaganda saying that political prisoners are included and make them less harmed, said the acting commander of the 1st Battalion of the Htilin People’s Defense Force to the MPA.
“As far as I think they are just spreading propaganda that there are political prisoners because they are afraid of attacking them while they are moving house as whole family,” he said. It is also known that the local revolutionary forces are investigating the case of the prisoner in nearby areas.
