The 4th Company of the 3501st Battalion announced that four civilians, including two children, were killed when the Junta carried out an airstrike by a helicopter in Yedashe Township, Bago Region, on the east bank of the river without any battles.
The military junta dropped about 12 81 mm bombs on the villages of Padauk Kone, Sipaing, and Mi Chaung Aing at around 2:15 p.m. with a helicopter on February 21 and fired machine guns at the villages, said an official of the 4th Company of the 350th Battalion.
“The deceased were the residents of Padauk Kone and Sipaing villages. They got hit while running around in their homes and yards,” he said.
As a result of the air attack, three people from Sipaing Village, including two children aged eight and ten years old and a grandmother from Padauk Kone, were killed, and five people were injured; one of them was seriously injured, according to the 4th Company of the 350th Battalion.
“Yesterday, a plane bombed; there was no fighting. Three people from Sipaing were killed. There were two children, and one of the oldest old women in Padauk Kone was killed. Three of the wounded people arrived at Yedashe Hospital. It was told that the army sent them to Nay Pyi Taw,” said a resident of Yedashe Township.
Junta troops set fire to Kanhla Village, Yedashe Township, around 7:00 p.m. on February 11, resulting in 57 houses burned to ashes.
