A source from the ground has confirmed that the bodies of three IDPs who had been arrested by the Pyu Saw Htee militia from the shelter huts (huts to live in the fields), where people fleeing from Myinsee Village (of the Pyu Saw Htee militia under the junta) in Sagaing Region stayed, have been recovered.
After the Pyu Saw Htee militiamen raided the shelter huts around 12:00 p.m. on February 15th, six people were arrested, and all six were killed.
Among the six, the bodies of a pregnant woman, a mother and a child were found on the morning of February 16, and the bodies of the other three were found dead of gunshot wounds in the south of Myinsee Pyu Village, a local defense comrade said.
“We recovered them yesterday. They were shot dead by G3 bullets. The people who were killed and the people who killed them were people in the same village before. The whole family was arrested. A total of six people were arrested. At first, we could only confirm the deaths of three people. They were the mother, the child, and the pregnant woman. Three of them were still missing. We searched for them for a long time and found them yesterday morning,” he said.
The six people who were killed were 65-year-old Sint Kyaing (female), 60-year-old Lin (male) and Myint Than (female), 35-year-old San Lin (female), pregnant mother Chit Su Aung and her 3-year-old son Zay Thu Aung.
Pe Su from the WAPF-based Khin-U Township explained that these people were the family members of a revolutionary soldier, so they were raided and killed on purpose.
“They are the families of a comrade who came out of Myinsee Village and are doing the revolution. They are his nieces and sisters,” he said.
According to local residents, the defense forces had previously captured Myinsee village in Shwebo Township, but later, after the Pyu militia forces re-entered, its surrounding villages were frequently raided.
