The military junta plane reportedly bombed the school in Loinan Pha village in Demoso Township, Karenni State, killing 4 and injuring 9 students.
The high school in Loinan Pha village was attacked by two jet fighters three times from around 10:15 a.m. until around 12:00 p.m. on February 5, and also fired by heavy weapons, damaging the school, according to a person helping Demoso displaced people.
“A lot of students are in the school. The junta came and shot on the school with a plane and heavy weapons three times. The aerial shot was a set with machine guns, rockets and bombs. They also fired with 120 (mm) heavy weapons. The 4 students were killed, and one of the 9 injured was a teacher. It may be more. I also heard they also dropped bombs on the school of Dawyoe Ei, but we don’t know exactly yet because it is far away from us,” he said.
The 120 (mm) heavy weapons reportedly were fired into the high school of Loinan Pha from the town of Loikaw, but no heavy weapons fell into the school.
“The junta plane bombed on Loinan Pha this morning. They bombed on the school with around 30 bombs. One scout plane came first, then they bombed with jet fighters and shot with machine guns. There was no fighting in Loinan Pha. There were only students in the school,” said a Loikaw Local PDF comrade.
It has not confirmed about the damage condition of the school of Dawyoe Ei village of Demoso Township, which was attacked by the junta airstrikes yet.
