TARTAY Revolution Force (TRF) announced on December 21, “The Joint People’s Defense Forces attacked with 12 handmade shock missiles on the junta militias’ Gweecho village in Yesagyo Township in Magway Region, killing 2 soldiers and 3 militiamen and injuring 7 troops.
“The Joint People’s Defense Forces attacked with a shock missile on the junta militias’ Gweecho village at about 1:00 p.m. on December 20, and the missile exploded on the junta troops and militiamen in the west of village, resulting in the deaths and injuries of the junta and militiamen,” in charge of TRF, Bo Leo, said.
We have received information that 13 militiamen and more than 20 soldiers are in Gweecho village. The rest are only the support posts of the junta’s military. They are shooting from about 2 to 3 miles away. We can confirm the number of casualties of the junta according to the insider report in the military. Through a reconnaissance drone, we can see rockets falling on the south, north and west of the village, he said.
“In addition, two handmade shock missiles were fired on the military camp with 30 troops stationed at Technological University (Pakokku) in the early morning of December 20,” in charge of Cobra One, Bo Mway Hout, said.
We only fired two shots to just threaten the Government Technological College (G.T.C), and we stopped shooting because we were afraid of harming the neighboring villages by the junta, and then we went to shoot Gweecho village, he said.
After attacking Gweecho village, the PDF joint forces retreated without any harm at around 3:00 p.m. and then the junta’s military reportedly fired heavy weapons at nearby villages at around 8:00 p.m. on December 20.
The attack was jointly carried out by the TARTAY Revolution Force (TRF), Cobra One – Pakokku Rural Defense, Sa Nay Min – Myaing People’s Defense Force, 7-star Yesagyo and Ba Nyein Guerrilla Force.
