It is reported that the SAC military raided Mangyesu village and took off the women’s earrings of the village Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region.
September 20, at around 1:00 p.m., a 30-strong military that came out of the forest monastery in Blay Village, Myingyan Township, raided Mankyisu Village, burned down 1 house, beat the villagers and took them inside the village’s monastery, and took off the women’s earrings, according to Ngathogyi News and Information.
“Yesterday, around one o’clock, about 30 forces of the SAC entered Mankyisu village, and the soldiers went around the village and arrested all the people in the village. They called the people were not tied the knot. They keep coming and calling each and everyone. They had to ask the villagers. There are also people who were beaten. They also beat 60- and 70-year-olds. They had to take off any earrings of women,” said Ko Moe, in charge of Ngahtogyi News and Information.
The arrested people were taken as human shields and left at around 2:15 in the afternoon between Mankyisu village and Ywa Thayar village.
“The military also burnt down a house in Mankyisu village. They said this house had a connection and supported the PDF. Two months ago, the soldiers who entered the village were surrounded, leaving ammunition boxes behind and the soldiers had to flee. That’s why they were angry,” he continued.
The column was stationed overnight at Shwe Hin Tha Monastery in Ywa Thayar Village, and today (September 21) at around 7:45 a.m., the column was mined at the out of Ywa Thayar Village.
Last May 24, the SAC troops burned down Mankyisu village, so around 100 houses were destroyed and burnt down, and Daw Mya Aye (70 years old) died in the fire.
