The SAC troops burned the Yaelelkyun area, Yesagyo Township, Magway Region for 3 consecutive days, burning down about 690 of houses and buildings, and nearly 30,000 residents had difficulty with their basic human needs, according to the People’s Administration Department of Yesagyo Township.
From May 26th to May 28th, the SAC troops invaded and burned the Yaelelkyun area, Yesagyo Township and destroyed houses and buildings. Houses and buildings including cars, crops, and rice were destroyed in the fire, causing people homeless and struggling to make ends meet.
“All of them are farmers, so their living conditions are difficult. The harvested crops were not sold, so they were caught in the fire. Now, there are difficulties in their livelihood,” said the information officer of the People’s Defense Force of Yesagyo Township.
In order to provide assistance, a committee has been formed under the name of Emergency Response Team – ERT, and since they are providing solutions for livelihood and health emergencies, People can contact and donate to the People’s Administration Department of Yesagyo Township and the ERT.
27 villages in the Yaelelkyun area were burned down by the SAC troops, and about 28,000 residents were left homeless.
