It was reported that in the morning of today the military council troops burned down Sintalae village in Ayadaw township, Sagaing Region.
“About 100 soldiers who were present in Ngwe Twin Village joined forces with the soldiers and Pyusawhti(militias) from Talaeba Village, and this joined force of the military entered and set fire to Sintalae Village,” the local revolutionary news reports reported.
“The situation is still unstable, so we don’t know the details yet,” said an official of the post office.
There was no countered clash with the local defense forces in Sintalae village, but the military troops entered into and burned down the village without a reason.
“The residents of the Sintalae village and nearby villages have been fleeing since morning, so it is not yet known how many houses have been burned. I think the soldiers are still around the village. That’s why, the situation in the village is still unknown,” said a resident of Ayadaw town.
On May 8, local PDFs fired snipers at soldiers stationed in Talaeba Village, Ayadaw Township, and 1 military officer was killed. After that, about 100 soldiers have been reinforced in Ngwe Twin Village.
Talaebar village and Ngwe Twin village are the villages of Pyusawhti’s strong power in Ayedaw Township.
