Comrade Wei Kyi who is in charge of the Yesagyo PDF told MPA that when the local defense forces attacked the Ma Au police station in Yesagyo Township, Magway Regionat 5:00 a.m. on April 3rd, seven soldiers, including Station Commander Myint Kyaw, were killed.
The camp could be raided at around 8:00 a.m. that day, but the SAC used a Mi 35 helicopter to fire at it for about an hour, so the PDFs had to withdraw from the camp.
It is said that documents including one G3 gun, one Anti Drone Gun, 10 explosive shells, and the camp commander’s stamp were seized in that battle.
In addition, Comrade Wei Gyi continued to tell how the SAC troops who were coming for reinforcements were attacked, “about 30 soldiers who come for reinforcements that left Zee Taw attacked with a series of 20 landmines and 17 soldiers of the SAC were killed again. Two comrades from our side were slightly injured (not seriously).”
The operations were jointly carried out by the People’s Defense Force-YEsagyoTownship (PDF – Pa-Ka-Pha), Salingyi Special Task Force (SSTF), Myaing PDF Battalion (2), and Myanmar Royal Dragon Army (MRDA).
“The main thing is that if we can move forward unitedly, I believe that we will achieve more success quickly,” informed Comrade Wei Gyi.
On March 31, the SAC troops raided a small PDF camp in Yesagyo, and then military attacks have been taking place continuously.
