It is known from Shwe Loikaw (Kayah) Charitable Association, a house car was hit by land mine in Loikaw in Kayah State, and 4 people were killed on the spot and 2 people were seriously injured.
Ko Aung Moe Myint, vice president of the Shwe Loikaw (Kayah) Charitable Association, confirmed that a house car carrying 6 men that was leaving Loikaw at about 2:00 p.m. was hit by the land mine and was exploded on Zarap Phyu village’s road.
“We have to go from the 4-mile Sanpya village. It is on Zarapphyu-Nanghu Htwe road. There, the car had crossed and stepped on a land mine. Even the car was broken and exploded by pieces, so there was no way to find the dead bodies. Their heads, stomachs, and legs were scattered quite a distance from where they happened,” he said.
The MPA has not been able to confirm exactly which group set the mine that hit this car.
“We sent one of the two survivors and the scattered parts of three dead bodies. The remaining survivor and one dead body were sent to the Loikaw hospital by the Shwe Nyungpin Charitable Association,” he continued to said.
It is known that 3 of the 4 dead people are Ko Aung Soe Moe, Ko Tun Min Latt and Ko Sein Min. The names and addresses of the remaining two survivors and one dead people have not to be ascertained yet.
