It is learned that the local PDF joint forces intercepted the army of the military council that advanced to Koe Taung Boet Circle (a circle is larger than a village tract), the northern part of Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region, and over 100 soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militiamen (Pyu Saw Htee is militia under military junta) were killed and 60 guns were seized.
According to the Infinity Group, which reports on local revolution news, the PDF joint force intercepted the column of about 300 joint forces of the junta army and Pyu Saw Htee, which came out of the base camp in Chatthin Circle, Kanbalu Township, since 5:00 a.m. on November 10th, and the battle ended at about 10:00 a.m.
“The column started leaving on the 7th. The encounter happened on the 10th. I also heard that around 50 soldiers were captured alive. Ground sources witnessed that more than 100 soldiers were killed. I also heard that they (PDFs) retreated because of the arrival of the plane,” said an official from the Infinity Group.
Battalion (2) and Battalion (3) of Kanbalu District led the attack and coordinated with local forces.
“The forces gathered and fought together. On the junta’s side, some surrendered, and some ran away. More than 100 of those who fought back were killed,” said one of the Kanbalu local defense forces.
It is known that local residents have already reached safe places and are not affected.
According to the Infinity Group, the PDFs have warned residents to be aware of the air danger in light of the situation in the junta army, which was heavily crippled in the morning.
MPA cannot independently confirm the deaths and injuries of soldiers.
