According to a local news source, the terrorist SAC troops and Pyu Saw Htee (Militias) burned down the village of Nga Tayaw village in Yesagyo Township, Magway Region for two days in a row, and some residents were also trapped inside the village.
At 11:00 a.m. yesterday morning, terrorist SAC troops and Pyu Saw Htee joined forces and started to set fire to Nga tayaw village with a force of more than 150 troops.
After that, terrorist SAC troops continued to deploy in that village.
“There was a shootout with the People’s Defense Forces. There were troops who died on their side, and after the battle, Pyu Saw Htee with military dogs (SAC troops) entered the village with weapons and started burning the village,” said an informant on the ground.
It is reported that many residents fled to safety because they had heard in advance that terrorist SAC troops were coming, and a few elderly grandparents were unable to escape, so they remained in the village.
In addition, the terrorist SAC troops set fire to the remaining houses this morning and are still in the village. The local people are forced to flee into the nearby forest.
“I don’t know why they burned the entire village what their grudge is upon us. The villagers also cried and ran away as they had no home to live in. They are crying about where to stay. Some are saying they are going back to where their relatives are,” he added.
On August 11, the terrorist SAC troops entered Nga Tayaw village, ransacked the homes of the villagers, and burned more than 10 motorcycles belonging to the villagers.
According to a local news source, the terrorist SAC troops have been targeting villages in Sagaing Region and Magway Region in recent days, burning and destroying villages in those townships and arresting and killing many innocent people.
