The Lion Battalion’s tactical column announced that it has captured 5 BGF camp hills near the new Shwe Kokoe Ko town in Myawaddy Township in Karen State, and they are continuing to penetrate and attack.
According to the latest information, the Lion Battalion’s tactical column and the Revolutionary Joint Force invaded by strategic attack to the military troops and BGF stationed in Hia Whapalo and Hia Kotto villages in the area of Shwe Kokoe Ko.
More than 85 soldiers and BGF were killed and more than 60 were injured.
During the 2-day battle, the Lion Battalion’s tactical column announced that they received 75 different weapons from the soldiers and the BGF.
“This is the list obtained after the two-day battle. The battle is not over yet. On April 5th, we captured 2 BGF camps. On the 6th, we captured 3 more. The BGF has few fighters who shot back. There are many people who surrendered and ran,” said a comrade from the KNLA joint column.
On April 5, after 5:00 a.m., the Lion Battalion tactical column announced that they attacked the Shwe Kokoe Ko area controlled by BGF under the terrorist Military of the SAC, where the criminal activities, mafia gangs, and drug industries are working.
“The number of weapons and casualties is still an average. We can’t estimate. There is only more than that number. There is no reason to be less. Due to our comrades are taking and seizing the weapons from them and fighting them from their ranks, so we will get detailed information only after the battle. Currently, we have the upper hand. The death bodies of the military and BGF are showing up,” he continued.
MPA investigated that currently, more than 5,000 local residents in the area of KNU Brigade-7 have been fled and more than 3,000 people have gone to temporary refugee camps in Thailand.
