It is reported that the Anti-Dictatorship Revolution People’s Army (DRPA) ambushed the SAC Forces that was burning Kyaungpan Taw village in Thapayin Township in Sagaing Region. It is known that the soldiers were injured and killed.
The Anti-Dictatorship Revolution People’s Army (DRPA) said that on 9 January, nearly 130 soldiers of the SAC Forces, who were burning down Kyaungpan Taw village between Yae Oo and Thapayin, were attacked by 40 mm and small weapons. Two weapons were exploded directly on the soldiers of the SAC Forces and they fell down and were injured.
“The soldiers entered the village at around 11:00 p.m. At around 3:00 p.m., they started setting fire to houses in the village. At 6:00 p.m., the soldiers burning down this village were attacked by heavy weapons and small arms. They also fired back. They did not continue to burn down. They ran to the south of the village and camped at the monastery for the night, and retreated in the morning. They were injured and killed. He saw that the soldiers fell down,” a Comrade Lin Ngwe who is an DRPA official said.
It is reported that the houses of CDMs who were wanted to be arrested by the Military and of people who were sued by Section 505(a) in Kyaungpan Taw village have been set on fire.
It is said that the soldiers of the SAC who were burning down the houses were injured and killed due to the sudden attack. In the morning of January 10th, they headed and left towards Thapayin town.
On 6 January, the DRPA attacked the outpost of Seinpan Pin Gate in the west of Thapayin, and there was also exchange fire.
