It is reported that “two PDF female comrades who were carrying hand-made landmines on a motorcycle in Kawlin Township in Sagaing Region, detonated the landmines and took the soldiers to the death while the SAC Forces were inspecting them”.
“On 7 January, while the Military were patrolling around Kawlin city, two PDF female comrade who had carried a hand-made mine by a motorcycle and faced the front point of the Military column. So they detonated the mine when they were being inspected,” Kawlin Revolution announced.
“Two PDF female comrades were also killed on the spot. The soldiers also died. It is a very respectable hero’s spirit. They did not die in the hands of the enemy. They exploded themselves their own lives as well as took soldiers of the Military with their explosion. They fought the Military until the end. The whole city of Kawlin is respected and saddened for those,” a resident from Aykyaw Ward in Kawlin city said.
Kawlin Revolution said that “the two PDF female comrades who died were Daw Su Su Yi (45 years old) and Ma Hnin Si Hlaing (20 years old). Daw Su Su Yi’s house was sealed off and destroyed on 1 January”.
At around 9:15 am in the morning on 7 January, when the Military Forces were patrolling Min Chan and Te Gyikon (now Min Te Gyi) from Kyo Gok village and Waryone Gok village, the two PDF female comrades left on a motorcycle to get ahead of the column of the Military.
