Anyar Brotherhood Joint Force announced that anyone _ who supports the mandatory military service activated by the military junta _ will seriously be taken action in the upper region (Anyar).
“Those who are activating the conscription law by organizing to join the junta’s military or by registering a list of civilians’ names for military service in any way _ will be taken action,” said the information official of Anyar Brotherhood Joint Force.
“Anyone who supports the junta’s conscription law will be severely punished in various ways, such as arresting individuals and taking action based on the operation mission depending on the situation,” he said.
The junta activated the compulsory military service law on February 10 that men between the ages of 18 and 35 and women between the ages of 18 and 27 must serve in the military.
“Those _ who reactivate to strengthen the force of the military junta and who deal with the military junta _ will be taken action according to the wishes of the people,” said Ko Nway Oo from Civilian’s Defense & Security Organization of Myaung (CDSOM).
In addition, the National Unity Government (NUG) announced on February 13 that the Junta’s Conscription Law is illegal and the people do not need to follow it at all.
Moreover, all individuals and relevant departmental levels that activate and support the implementation of the conscription law enforced by the junta _ will be recognized as the people’s enemies who commit war crimes and taken strong and effective action, according to the NUG statement.
