The CDM Civil Servants Conference reportedly will be held nationwide for 4 days.
“The opening ceremony of the conference will start on January 19, and the Spring Revolution and CDM civil servants’ affairs will be discussed from January 20th to 23rd,” according to the CDM Civil Servants Conference Organizing Committee.
“It will be held nationwide through the Zoom Platform. We have announced the purpose of the conference,” said Dr. Lwan Wai, a spokesperson for the CDM Civil Servants Conference Organizing Committee.
All 33 ministries have reportedly been invited to attend the conference, but there are also ministries that have not yet responded.
“There are more than 300,000 CDM civil servants nationwide, so we cannot work on the ground due to the security situation. Since it will be held online, only representatives will have to attend. The representatives who can represent the relevant ministry have been invited,” said Sayar Naung Cho, spokesperson for the CDM Civil Servants Conference Organizing Committee.
The three to five representatives from each ministry can reportedly attend the conference.
This conference reportedly will be held with the aims _ to identify the position, purpose and expectations of the CDM civil servants participating in the non-violent civil disobedience movement, _ to issue observations and recommendations regarding the political, economic and social crises of the civil servants during the Spring Revolution, _ to issue appeals by CDM civil servants to the people, revolution and political forces, _ to ensure that the international community fully understands the importance, effectiveness, breadth and depth of the CDM Movement of the national staff in the Spring Revolution, and _ to gather and identify the work processes that will go forward in line with the expectations of the CDM Civil Servants.
