The Deputy Minister of the National Unity Government (NUG) reportedly came to visit for the first time and met with the officials of the townships of Yesagyo and Myaing in Magway Region.
Deputy Minister Dr.Ngai Tam Maung of the NUG’s Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management visited for the first time and met with revolutionary forces in townships of Yesagyo and Myaing in early January.
“Deputy Minister Dr. Ngai Tam Maung met together with and discussed the forward steps with Yesagyo Township’s PDF, Township’s Public Administration, Township’s Education Board and relevant township officials in Yesagyo Township,” comrade Wai Gyi, in charge of Yesagyo Township PDF, said.
“It’s the first time in Magway Region. The NUG’s deputy minister mainly visited and discussed the revolutionary works and supports to be able to provide for the people more than now. For the ground issues, it can be seen in reality only when they come to ground,” he said.
“The deputy minister met with relevant officials in Myaing Township and discussed the humanitarian processes in the township,” Bo Let Ya, in charge of Myaing Township PDF, said.
“We discussed together to support fire victims on the ground. And we discussed rebuilding and the case to enable the wounded comrades to return to the battlefields,” he said.
They said that due to the Deputy Minister’s visit, their confidence has increased and their work has become stronger.
“This is what we have been hoping for since the beginning. The people want to see us work together like this, not losing touch with the ground groups. We are grateful. We have increased confidence. We are more motivated to work,” Comrade Wai Gyi said.
The date of the meeting and the topics discussed were not revealed for security reasons.
