Pakokku Township People’s Defense Force (Pa-Ka-Hpa) announced today that local defense forces attacked the Thayetkwa village (Pyu Saw Htee village) in Myaing Township, Magway Region at about 4:40 a.m. on June 13.
As a result of the attack, eight of the SAC soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee troops in Thayetkwa village were killed, two were seriously injured, and one of the joint forces was reportedly killed.
“We seized Thayetkwa Pyu village. Only one bunker remained. Three or four were killed in that bunker,” an official of Pakokku Township People’s Defense Force told MPA.
As a result of this attack, some of the SAC soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee troops ran away, and only about 20 troops resisted the attack, and it was investigated that the Myaing Town Planning Office had to provide them with heavy weapons.
“We were able to capture the entire village at the end, and when the bunkers were left, we saw one military dog (SAC troops) fall down, and when we went to pick up weapons, one of our people was hurt, so we had to retreat,” the official of Pakokku Township People’s Defense Force continued.
The investigation revealed that the attack was carried out jointly by the Pakokku Township People’s Defense Force – Pa-Ka-Hpa Company (1), Squad (2) of Company (3) of Myaing PDF Battalion (1), Wolf Force, GOE Force, Anyar Land Force, Dar Min Gyi Force and MPV Force.
MPA has not been able to independently confirm the death of the soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee.
