It is reported that the young people who participated in the strike Launglon Township in Dawei District in Taninthary Region, were shot and threatened by guns, but the public movement continued to active successfully.
An official of the Dawei District Democracy Movement Strike Committee (DDMSC) said that at around 7:00 a.m. today, the Dawei District Democracy Movement Strike Committee (DDMSC) went to 2 markets in 2 villages in Launglon Township, and while the campaign sub-committee was preparing to conduct public awareness activities, two unknown men came near the market and fired 3 shots.
“At 7 o’clock in the morning, two men, who are currently believed to be Pyusawhti, came and shot. They did not shoot into the crowd. They fired three shots and drove away. At that time, we had not yet distributed pamphlets. Revolutionary songs were still playing,” he said.
Any DDMSC members and anyone were not injured in the above shooting.
It is reported that the young strikers had distributed the article “Federalism and the Political Problem” and organized and preached against the sale and purchase of Military products.
“No one was injured. Everyone was safe. The shooting happened near the market where the organizing strike was done. After shooting, they ran away. Then we started organizing again. My photos are proof that whether people fled when they heard gunshots or continued to join. The strike ended at 7:30,” he continued.
Today at 7:30 a.m., after the public organizing, they shouted revolutionary slogans together with the vendors.
