The National Unity Government (NUG) announced today that more than 460 people have died since the coup d’état due to airstrikes by the SAC, most of them civilians and children.
According to the NUG, the SAC carried out repeated aerial bombardments in Karen State, Kachin State, Sagaing Region, and Magway Division, resulting in the loss of many lives of civilians and children.
The SAC used fighter jets to attack Camp Victoria, where the headquarters of the Chin National Front (CNF) is located, once on Jan. 10 at 4:30 p.m. and once on Jan. 10 at 4:00 p.m., this was the latest incident of an airstrike of the SAC till Jan. 12.
During the air attack on Jan. 10, two revolutionary female comrades and three comrades of the Chin National Army were killed and others were injured. The NUG government announced that during the airstrike on Jan. 11, outpatient clinic and residential homes were destroyed.
On Jan. 11, shops in Hakha city were closed and expressed their sorrow regarding the Camp Victoria air attack.
The NUG has urged to take effective and severe measures as soon as possible against the actions of the military, which is using the neighboring Indian airspace and not only killing Myanmar people with fighter jets but also threatening the lives and livelihoods of the people of the neighboring countries.
