It is known that at least five villages have already been become the ruined villages as the Military troops of the SAC are burning in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region.
An official of the Kyun Hla activists group said that the houses of the villages in Kanbalu township, Htan Gone township, Koe Taung Bo township, Chap Thin township were burned down and so the villages were completely deserted and became to the ruined villages.
Some villages in Kotaungbo township and Chapthin township are completely unable to return. They have become like the ruined villages. Zaw Chaung village in Ko Taung Bo township originally had 204 houses. The military of the SAC has been burned 6 times. As many as 170 houses have been destroyed, and they no longer dare to live in the village. There are many such villages,” he said.
It is known that although the cornered battle had not taken place in Kanbalu Township in this week, the Kanbalu-based artillery battalion and more than 150 Pyusawhti troops have been stationed in Inlegyi village and are doing arson the villages.
“When the Military troops run out of food, they always attack, steal properties from the villages, and kill the people they have arrested. The villages in that township have been fled from the war for a year. From the 2nd April to yesterday, more than 10,000 people fled the war within 3 days. If we add the population of the township who is always fleeing, there are about 30,000,” he said.
At present, about 30,000 displaced people in Kanbalu Township are staying away from the war as it is convenient for them to live in tents.
“There is no military evacuation camp and it cannot be built. Even the people of the villages live in tents in their own fields and get their own food, but every tent that they find is being burned and destroyed. If they build a military evacuation camp, the military will shoot it down with airplanes, and attack the airforce” he continued.
