According to ABSDF Column-3 that local revolutionary forces have built temporary shelters for the people from the entire village who have fled due to the SAC’s pressure to join Pyu Saw Htee (militias under SAC) in Gangaw Township, Magway Region.
On May 25th, after the revolutionary forces attacked the Taung Khin Yan police station, it was learned that the SAC troops forced the people in Taung Khin Yan village to join a mandatory one Pyu Saw Htee (militia) per house on May 28.
“Our revolutionary comrades chopped wood and bamboo from the woods and built a temporary tent. The cost is cheap. Some stay with their relatives. Some stay with their own group. Taung Khin Yan is a large village with about 700 houses. It is difficult to tell the number of people who have left their homes,” said ABSDF Column-3 Information Officer Pyae Phyo Kyaw.
It is also known that there are attacks from the 50th Infantry Battalion based in Gangaw town and they can march to attack up to Taung Khin Yan village.
“If they (soldiers) go outside the village where their military camp is located, they will attack us. It is not so strange because this is already a revolutionary area. I have not heard of people who have left their homes being recaptured. It’s the only thing is that the soldiers stole and destroyed the property left in the village,” he said.
On May 30th, around 4:00 p.m., the revolutionary forces intercepted and attacked the soldiers entering the villages in the northern part of Gangaw Township, resulting in the death of four soldiers.
MPA could not independently confirm the death.
